We are happy to announce our annual Art Competition “My Song” 2025!
This time we are focusing to the beauty of Nature prescribed in music.
Each student wanting to participate must create a drawing or painting in reaction to one musical piece of the student’s choice from the following selections:
To the Water Lilly by Edward McDowel
2. Claire de Lune by Claude Debussy
3. Oceans by Kamen Tashev
4. Winter by Antonio Vivaldi

The artwork must capture the mood of the music or the story narrated in the song. Students can work with any materials they would like. Some examples include watercolors, tempera, colored pencils, crayons, markers, etc.
Students will enter the competition in one of three categories according to their grade level. This is to ensure that all students compete with peers of similar age. The three categories are:
1st category: grades K - 2
2nd category: grades 3 - 5
3rd category: grades 6 - 12
The deadline for submissions is November 28th, 2025. Please do not sign your name on your drawing or painting! Only write the title of the song related to your work clearly on the back. Submit a photo of the front and back of your artwork at haralampievatania@gmail.com.
The results of the competition and the prizes for the winners will be announced during the Winter Recitals, December 6th, 2025.
